Perseverance, the study of an astrobiologically relevant ancient environment on Mars; It undertakes the task of investigating the geological processes and history on the surface, including whether planetary habitability is possible, the possibility and potential of life on Mars to occur, and the preservation of biological signatures in accessible geological materials.
